LOC Precision 5.5” Dia IRIS

A monster of a kit! This rocket stands tall at 110” and is a perfect rocket for a 75mm M motor, making this a perfect rocket for a good Level 3 High Power Certification flight.  

This rocket comes with a ton of stuff, including a 75mm motor mount AND Electronics Bay! Slotted Centering Rings and Fins for the trusty LOC N’ FIN system made popular by LOC Precision, will help you build the fin can outside of the booster and help keep the fins straight without using a Fin Guide.  This kit comes loaded with TWO 2 x 25’ Tubular Nylon Recovery Harnesses (Add a third to make the drogue harness longer), a 5/8” tubular nylon Y Harness & U-bolts, a 78” Main Chute and 24” Drogue chute.  Three tubes make up the body of this rocket with a 34” Booster, 34” and 20” Payload, and a 21.5” 4:1 Ogive Nose Cone.  The Electronics Bay is roomy and comes with hardware.  Switches, Altimeters & Electronics, Batteries, Wiring, and Charge Wells are not included.

The IRIS Rocket will be one you display with pride and is a great performer! The LOC Precision 5.5” IRIS is one of my favorite rockets! I built one of the first prototypes of this model for LOC Precision in 2019. I flew this at LDRS 38 in Argonia, KS on a LOKI L840 Cocktail to just over 7k.
